Nihon Kohden TG-901T4 CO2 Sensor Kit P203B

Nihon Kohden TG-901T4 CO2 Sensor Kit P203B

Nihon Kohden TG-901T4 CO2 Sensor Kit P203B delivers accurate and reliable end-tidal CO2 measurement for patient monitoring. This high-quality sensor kit is essential for anesthesia and respiratory management, compatible with Nihon Kohden monitors like the BSM-6000 series.

Nihon Kohden TG-901T4 is a Mainstream CO2 Sensor Kit designed for bedside patient monitors to measure End-tidal CO2 (EtCO2) and respiration rates. It is part of the TG-900 series and utilizes Nihon Kohden's proprietary cap-ONE technology.

Key Features & Technology

cap-ONE Technology: Known as the world's smallest and lightest mainstream CO2 sensor, weighing only approximately 4 grams. This minimizes the weight burden on the patient's airway, making it suitable for even the smallest neonates.

Heaterless & Motorless Design:

Anti-fogging Membrane: Uses a special film that creates an even water layer to prevent condensation from interfering with the infrared light path. This eliminates the need for a heater, reducing power consumption and preventing potential burn injuries.

High Durability: The absence of moving parts (motors) makes the sensor shock-resistant, capable of withstanding a 2-meter drop.

Measurement Method: Utilizes a Semi-quantitative method based on infrared absorption. It provides a fast response with no warm-up or lag time.

Compatibility & Usage

Compatible Monitors: Frequently used with Nihon Kohden's SVM-7500 series (e.g., SVM-7523) and other monitors supporting the TG-900 series connection.

Adapter Options:

For Intubated Patients: Uses Airway Adapters (e.g., YG-211T) with approximately 4 ml of dead space for adults/children.

For Non-Intubated Patients: Uses specialized Nasal/Oral Adapters (e.g., YG-120T series) that capture expired CO2 from both the nose and mouth.

Maintenance

Cleaning: The sensor should be cleaned with a cotton swab moistened with ethanol or specified disinfectants.

Calibration: For stable accuracy, a calibration check using CO2 calibration gas is recommended every six months.

Disposables: All airway and nasal adapters are single-use and should not be cleaned or reused to prevent cross-infection.
